Ron Baker has inked a deal with CSKA Moscow.

Baker underwent surgery for a torn right labrum back in February but should be ready for the start of Moscow's season. He was said to be their target if they whiffed on Jeremy Lin (which they did), and we'll see if Baker returns to the NBA at some point.

Free Agent Ron Baker had surgery to repair a torn right labrum in his shoulder and is expected to make a full recovery in 4-to-6 months.

Baker only played four games as a Wizard before being waived. After his recovery he'll try to latch on with another team in the league with the G-League and overseas teams a possibility if he can't sign with anyone.

The Wizards will waive Ron Baker.

Baker played in four games with the Wizards, and the writing was on the wall with him playing just two minutes over the previous four games even with John Wall done for the year. We'll see if he can resurface in the NBA or if he'll need to take a G-League job.

The Wizards will sign free agent Ron Baker, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

Baker lands on his feet quickly after being waived under a week ago. The Wizards will waive Okaro White in a corresponding move. Baker shouldn't play much of a role in Washington, but you never know given how things are going for the Wizards these days. Regardless, Baker doesn't need to be owned in any fantasy formats.

The Knicks will reportedly waive Ron Baker to make room for Allonzo Trier and his new standard contract.

The end of an era in New York. Baker emerged as a fan favorite and was promptly overpaid by the front office, who chose to throw money at the people's champion rather than NBA-level players. He might be able to attract interest from another organization but his days of making $4.5 million a year are probably done.

Ron Baker (face laceration) is available to return to Monday's game.

The Knicks will have their usual complement of guards available for the rest of the night.

Ron Baker got cut on the face and left Monday's game.

Baker's pretty tough so he could still return, but he was bleeding pretty good after running into a teammate's elbow when zipping around a screen. He's been a part of the rotation to start the year but the Knicks have enough guard depth that they shouldn't need to alter their lineups drastically if Baker missed time.

Knicks’ coach David Fizdale said the Knicks still “still have a lot to figure out,” and he “still (doesn’t) know who the starting point guard is.”

The Knicks play their first game of the regular season next week on Wednesday against the Hawks so this isn’t a good look. As a coach Fizdale should be more decisive but it’s hard not to feel for the gut- Frank Ntilikina, Trey Burke, Emmanuel Mudiay and Ron Baker are not exactly very inspiring choices to pick from. It’s a risky situation that smells of time share but we’ll have to see in which direction Fiz goes when the season starts.

Ron Baker has exercised his $4.5 million player option and has decided to return to the Knicks for the 2018-2019 NBA season.

Baker has played a solid amount for the Knicks for the time that he has been available, so the Knicks, a team without a true solution in the backcourt yet, are likely happy to hear that he is returning next season even if his contract is an overpay. Look for Baker to have a role in Fizdale's rotation, likely off the bench, and he will bring the same spark plug energy and hustle that he always has. He missed a good chunk of time because of shoulder surgery last season so this isn't a surprise as the open market wouldn't have been nearly as kind.
