Royce O'Neale started for an injured Ricky Rubio (hamstring tightness) on Friday and quietly put up 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting with one rebound, one assist, one triple and two steals in 29 minutes.
This was a deep-league usable line but unfortunately, O'Neale's nice pop in value will be short-lived given that Rubio is already listed as probable for Saturday.

Ricky Rubio (hamstring tightness) is listed as probable to play on Saturday vs. the Bucks.
Rubio will likely regain his starting role if he plays sending Royce O’Neale back to the bench. Raul Neto (hamstring) is listed as out.

Royce O'Neale was feeling it in Saturday's 125-105 victory over the Spurs, going 4-for-4 from downtown to finish the game with 17 points (6-of-7 shooting), five rebounds and one assist.
O'Neale has been known to explode like this every once in a while but on a game-to-game level has been too inconsistent to consider in standard leagues. He's a watch list guy because he'll pop should any of the Jazz starters get injured.

In another start for the Jazz on Friday, Royce O'Neale tied his career-high for rebounds with 11 and added 16 points (6-of-8 shooting), five rebounds, four triples, one steal and one block in 36 minutes.
It was blowout and O'Neale got to feast in some of that available garbage time. That said, he's still a solid hold in 14-team leagues or deeper for his recent productivity. Derrick Favors also double-doubled for the Jazz with 12 points on 4-of-11 shooting, adding 10 boards, a steal and a block in 23 minutes.

Royce O'Neale started and scored eight points on 3-of-8 shooting with a career-high 11 rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and two treys over 37 minutes on Saturday against the Bulls.
O'Neale has shown value in the past when called upon to be a de facto point guard replacement. The Jazz might find that life with this configuration is pretty good, but when the point guards return it's going to seriously complicate whatever value O'Neale can amass in the short-term. Stream him in normal sized leagues and maybe something can stick.

Royce O'Neale joined the Jazz starting five on Friday and responded well with a 17-point performance and some strong peripheral contributions that included five treys, seven rebounds and two steals.
He recorded new career highs in minutes (40) and in 3-pointers made (five), so his energy is a refreshing and encouraging sight to see, O'Neale is worth an aggressive add right now with the Jazz missing the services of Dante Exum and Thabo Sefolosha on the wings.

Royce O'Neale logged 18 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's win over the Magic, scoring two points with seven rebounds and a block.
Thabo Sefolosha and Dante Exum are out so it looks like O'Neale is the new guy off the bench to help guard opposing wings. It's also possible that he's the new third point guard for the time being, though that's definitely a stretch. O'Neale might be a value in 20-team leagues in this type of workload given his sneaky stat set but this performance won't cause a flurry on the waiver wire or anything.

Jae Crowder (sprained thumb) will not play on Saturday against the Knicks.
Crowder sprained his thumb on Thursday night and left the game for good in the fourth quarter. With Grayson Allen (ankle) also out, Royce O’Neale, Thabo Sefolosha and Kyle Korver will split the majority of Crowder’s minutes.

Royce O'Neale (knee) is questionable on Wednesday against the Nets.
O'Neale is no more than a defensive specialist off the bench and is irrelevant in most fantasy leagues outside of 20-team formats. His minutes have gone up slightly, but they are capped.

With Donovan Mitchell sidelined by a rib injury, Royce O'Neale will step into the starting lineup on Sunday.
O'Neale flashed down the stretch last season but hasn't been anything to write home about this year. Outside of his DFS punt appeal, we'll need to see some consistent performances before declaring him worth a pickup outside of 20-team formats.

Royce O'Neale started on Monday but played just 19 minutes, finishing with 11 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal.
O'Neale is a nice depth piece for the Jazz and put up some quality lines down the stretch last year but just hasn't gotten a ton of playing time this season. He's only a deep league target or a desperation stream but he hasn't quite seized the opportunity in front of him with Donovan Mitchell out.

Royce O'Neale had efficient line with seven points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals on Sunday.
The defensive specialist will likely play significant minutes off the bench for the Jazz this season. However, he will not be a big fantasy contributor due to the fact that his main impact on the game is defensive.

Royce O’Neale has reportedly worked on his dribbling all offseason.
He knows he has to play with a chip on his shoulder this season even though he played above expectations last season. Adding dribble moves to game will increase his ability to become a better two-way player. It is tough for him to have much fantasy value this season, but he will have a consistent role in the rotation for the Jazz.
