Svi Mykhailiuk led the bench charge in Friday's preseason win over the Warriors by scoring 22 points with two 3-pointers and four assists.

Mykhailiuk got help from his bench buddies, though he's really the only one of the bunch who has a shot at minuets with the Lakers this season. Rookie Isaac Bonga posted 12-9-5 with a steal, Travis Wear went 13-5-3 with two blocks and three triples and Johnathan Williams cooked up 14 points, 12 rebounds and a block. Svi has shown that there's more to his game than just deep shooting but for fantasy purposes you shouldn't expect more than that in year one.

Lakers’ rookie Svi Mykhailiuk scored 22 points (five 3s) and added three boards, three assists, five steals and a block in Friday’s 76-65 win over Spain in the FIBA World Qualifiers tournament.

Mykhailiuk hit 5-of-9 from distance and carried over his great shooting from Las Vegas Summer League where his three-point shooting was on full display on the way to averaging 16.6 points on 48 percent from the field. Svi definitely has some game but will have to more than shooting to get minutes considering KCP and Josh Hart are projected to get most of the minutes at shooting guard.

Svi Mykhailiuk scored 31 points on 12-of-20 shooting with six triples, four boards, an assist and a steal against the Cavs on Monday.

Mykhailiuk was hot from deep again, hitting 6-of-11 from beyond the arc with one of those misses was a full court heave to end the first overtime. He's more than just a shooter as he's not afraid to put the ball on the floor and nailed a tough off balance jumper off the dribble to tie the game towards the end of regulation. It's only Summer League, but after what Kyle Kuzma did last year it wouldn't be hard to believe that the Lakers nailed another late draft pick with Svi. His shooting will complement LeBron James's skillset nicely as the team is lacking scorers from deep.

Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk scored 19 points on Sunday afternoon to lead the Lakers in a win over the Pistons.

Los Angeles is still undefeated at Summer League and will look to keep the good times rolling in the semis. Mykhailiuk hit 7-of-15 from the field with four rebounds, two assists and a pair of triples. He was regarded as an excellent shooter coming out of the draft and the Lakers could certainly use that skillset once the real games begin. We wouldn't view him as anything more than a deep league specialist for the time being, however.

Svi Mykhailiuk scored 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting with three boards and four assists in Thursday’s 82-69 win over the Clippers.

Mykhaliuk has gotten a lot of buzz for his performance so far in Summer League, with many touting him to be a potential steal of the draft taken at 47th overall. Of course, Summer League performance does need to be taken with a grain of salt but being a great shooter in a LeBron James offense has never been a bad thing. He could be a sneaky good real-life option who will need some minutes to become a specialist role player in fantasy.

The Lakers are finalizing a three-year deal worth 4.6 million with their second round pick Svi Mykhailiuk.

Mykhailiuk has played well for the Lakers in summer league, averaging 13.2 points on 37.5 percent 3-point shooting in five games in Las Vegas and Sacramento. The 6-foot-8 shooting guard played four seasons at Kansas and is a native of Ukraine. The deal includes a team option. The 21-year-old could crack the rotation thanks to his shooting ability, but is unlikely to have fantasy value this year.

Svi Mykhailiuk scored 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting with two 3-pointers, three assists and two steals on Sunday against the Bulls.

Svi's shooting form is pretty and it converts at a high enough rate to have Lakers fans hopeful for an impact in the regular season. The team hasn't signed any notable shooters, opting for ball-handling playmakers instead so hopefully Svi can provide an outside threat off the bench to start the year. He's also tenacious on defense and hustles hard and as seen by the Lakers second rounders last season, Coach Walton isn't afraid to give hard earned minutes to unproven rookies who work.

The Lakers have drafted sharpshooter Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk with the 47th pick in Thursday's draft.

Mykhailiuk put an impressive showing during the NBA combine and had a few very nice workouts. He played four years at Kansas but only recently turned 21. He is not a two-way player but will be able to contribute because of his shooting.
