Tacko Fall will sign a two-way deal with the Celtics.

This was expected when the Celtics converted Max Strus' two-way contract to a standard deal earlier today. The fan favorite will spend most of his season in the G-League but the Celtics are ready to invest in his immense potential.

Celtics coach Brad Stevens announced that Tacko Fall should be fully healthy when training camp begins next week.

Fall had suffered a knee injury during a workout, but it was not deemed to be serious. Fall is listed at 7'7" but will be battling just to claim a roster spot on the Celtics. He is not a recommended fantasy option at this time.

Tacko Fall (mild knee sprain) is expected to miss one week after a collision in workouts.

With training camp two weeks away, Fall should be ready to roll by then. He is currently on an Exhibit 10 contract, battling for the final roster spot with Javonte Green (partially guaranteed) and Kaiser Gates (Exhibit 10). Fall is an intriguing talent at 7'7" but is not expected to be fantasy relevant in his first season even if he does make the team with the Celtics already carrying four center eligible players on guaranteed contracts.

Tacko Fall’s agent, Justin Haynes, said that if the Celtics cut his client, he believes another NBA team will give the big man an opportunity.

“If the Celtics release him, I don’t think he goes unclaimed,” said Haynes. “I think somebody will take a shot on him because he’s done enough to show he can find a place in the NBA.” Fall was arguably the most popular player at Las Vegas Summer League and he signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Celtics, which is essentially a training camp invite. It’s probably unlikely that Boston keeps him past the preseason though as Fall’s game still needs a lot of development while the team has already filled their two-way contracts. And while his agent is doing all the due diligence, he is probably right saying that another team could potentially take a flier on the Senegalese center.

Tacko Fall was officially inked to a training camp contract by the Celtics on Thursday.

Fall was an interesting piece in Summer League and has some inherent potential at his size, but his chances of making an NBA roster this year or anytime soon are quite slim. Still, you can't teach size, so we have to keep him on the radar.

Danny Ainge said that Tacko Fall's development is a "high priority" for the Celtics.

Fall is on an Exhibit 10 contract and figures to spend his time in the G-League this season. With an 8'2" wingspan and 10'3" standing reach, it's not hard to see why Boston is going to try and coax everything they can out of Fall's game. There's definitely some serious upside as a shot-blocker if he ever cracks the NBA, but until that happens he's not on the fantasy radar.

Tacko Fall scored 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting while adding eight rebounds, and four blocks in Thursday's Summer League game vs. the Grizzlies.

Fall has already breached meme territory due to his massive size and name. It'll be extremely difficult for him to be a rotational player and he'll be a situational level player like Boban Marjanovic at best.

Tacko Fall will sign an Exhibit 10 contract with the Celtics.

Fall's game is extremely limited, particularly on offense, but it's no surprise that a team decided to roll the dice on a player with a 7'7" frame, an 8'2" wingspan and a 10'3" standing reach. It's entirely possible that he carves out a niche role in the NBA, but it will take some serious work from a player development staff. Fall should be fun to watch in Summer League.

Tacko Fall of UCF, Marques Bolden of Duke, Nick Weiler-Babb of Iowa State, Jalen Hudson of Florida, Amir Hinton of Shaw University and Myles Powell of Seton Hall will all be participants of the Kings pre-draft workout.

All of the players that will be working out for the Kings are not projected to be drafted next month. The Kings are looking at guys for their second round selections as they have three picks in that round. Unfortunately, those are the only picks they have this year as their first round selection is owned by the Celtics. Expect the Kings to continue to look at players with high ceilings like Tacko Fall. Fall, a 7’7″ center has a 10’2″ standing reach and an 8’2″ wingspan. These measurements are why Fall will get to the NBA at some point. The question of how big of an impact he will make remains to be seen. Perhaps the Kings will draft the large center with one of their three second round picks.
