Tacko Fall has been recalled from the G League prior to Saturday's game against the Sixers.

Fall will serve as emergency depth behind Daniel Theis and Vincent Poirier. He has not made an in-game appearance since January 8 and can be left on the wire in standard leagues.

  • Enes Kanter

Enes Kanter (right hip bruise) will not play against the Sixers on Saturday.

Kanter will miss his fifth straight game but should be very close to a return. Daniel Theis continues to be a must-start player in his absence with top-50 value over the last two weeks and should continue to hold standard league value even once Kanter returns.

Tacko Fall logged five minutes in his home debut on Friday, picking up five points, two rebounds and a block.

The Boston crowd was hot for Tacko, and he trolled them by getting up off the bench without checking in a few times. Brad Stevens eventually gave in and let Fall loose for five minutes, where his long-term fantasy upside was on display. He's someone for dynasty GMs to dream on.

Tacko Fall suffered a bone bruise on his right knee during a G league game earlier this week and will be re-evaluated in 1-2 weeks.

Fall has only played in one NBA game so far this season and is well off the fantasy radar.

Tacko Fall played in first NBA game and scored four points with three rebounds against the Knicks on Saturday.

Fall played four minutes of garbage time in the blowout win and attempted four shots. Fall won't play enough minutes to be fantasy relevant this season.

Tacko Fall (concussion) is active for Saturday's game versus the Knicks.

The fan favorite is back after hitting his head too hard on the ceiling. Fall may even get some run with Enes Kanter ruled out and Daniel Theis nursing an injury as well.

  • Romeo Langford
    SG, Boston Celtics

Romeo Langford (sore right knee) and Tacko Fall (concussion protocol) have been ruled out for Friday's game against the Raptors.

Langford had a scary fall in a preseason game that will hold him out for at least the first two games of the regular season while Tacko is recovering from a concussion. Neither of these players are on the fantasy radar in standard redraft leagues with Langford having more potential this season if he is able to outduel Carsen Edwards upon his return from injury.

Brad Stevens said that Tacko Fall is "very close" to returning, but he noted that he wasn't going to be active anyway.

The Celtics are expected to start the season with Daniel Theis, Enes Kanter, Robert Williams and Vincent Poirier as their group of centers. Tacko was able to earn a roster spot but he is still far away from entering the rotation and he should be left on the waiver wire for now.

Fall isn't a fantasy option this year and could find himself in the G League instead of buried on the bench.

Tacko Fall has been placed in the league's concussion protocol.

Tacko Fall was hit in the head in Saturday's practice and may be subject to the league's concussion protocol.

Either Fall was diving for a loose ball or someone on the Celtics has a serious vertical. Fall won't be a standard league option this year and will likely spend most of his time with the Maine Red Claws.

Tacko Fall will sign a two-way deal with the Celtics.

This was expected when the Celtics converted Max Strus' two-way contract to a standard deal earlier today. The fan favorite will spend most of his season in the G-League but the Celtics are ready to invest in his immense potential.

Celtics coach Brad Stevens announced that Tacko Fall should be fully healthy when training camp begins next week.

Fall had suffered a knee injury during a workout, but it was not deemed to be serious. Fall is listed at 7'7" but will be battling just to claim a roster spot on the Celtics. He is not a recommended fantasy option at this time.

Tacko Fall (mild knee sprain) is expected to miss one week after a collision in workouts.

With training camp two weeks away, Fall should be ready to roll by then. He is currently on an Exhibit 10 contract, battling for the final roster spot with Javonte Green (partially guaranteed) and Kaiser Gates (Exhibit 10). Fall is an intriguing talent at 7'7" but is not expected to be fantasy relevant in his first season even if he does make the team with the Celtics already carrying four center eligible players on guaranteed contracts.

Tacko Fall’s agent, Justin Haynes, said that if the Celtics cut his client, he believes another NBA team will give the big man an opportunity.

“If the Celtics release him, I don’t think he goes unclaimed,” said Haynes. “I think somebody will take a shot on him because he’s done enough to show he can find a place in the NBA.” Fall was arguably the most popular player at Las Vegas Summer League and he signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Celtics, which is essentially a training camp invite. It’s probably unlikely that Boston keeps him past the preseason though as Fall’s game still needs a lot of development while the team has already filled their two-way contracts. And while his agent is doing all the due diligence, he is probably right saying that another team could potentially take a flier on the Senegalese center.
