  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson double-doubled on Sunday, with 14 points and 10 rebounds on 6-of-8 shooting in a loss to the Wizards.

He came off the bench and only saw 21 minutes, so the impact of Dario Saric turned out to be as negative as many feared it would become. Saric played 22 minutes and had 13 points and five rebounds on 5-of-9 shooting in this one. Gibson is the safer option over Saric and he is a late-round guy, but the arrival of Saric has definitely not helped him out.

  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson had a decent 21 minutes on Thursday with 12 points, nine rebounds and three defensive counters as the Wolves lost 122-115 to the Pacers.

Gibson has really been quiet with Dario Saric getting more run. There was a boost in his value with KAT out, but obviously, we saw what KAT did in this game. Gibson is a volume play only.

  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson only saw 11 minutes of action in Wednesday's road loss, scoring nine points with four rebounds and two blocks.

It's actually a solid outing considering the playing time but the Hawks opted to go center-less for much of the night and relied on their versatile wing group to get the job done. Gibson is only a deep-league play going forward.

  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson started with Karl-Anthony Towns (concussion protocol) out on Saturday night and scored 20 points with six rebounds in 25 minutes of action.

Gibson was quite active in this one, leading the Wolves in shot attempts with 17 in his stint tonight. He's fine to use while KAT is out of commission but is trending down in general and only has top-140 value on the season.

  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson drew the start for Karl-Anthony Towns (concussion) on Friday and was a pleasant surprise with 19 points (9-of-15 shooting), adding 10 rebounds, three dimes and two steals.

Taj is in for a jolt in short-term value while KAT is in the league's concussion protocol. He can be dropped once Towns is back and healthy.

  • Karl-Anthony Towns - F/C - Minnesota Timberwolves

Karl-Anthony Towns is in the league’s concussion protocol and will not play on Friday vs. the Knicks.

KAT was involved in a car accident on Thursday and the Wolves are putting him through the concussion protocol to make sure there are no lingering effects. It’s also notable that this is the first game he’ll miss in his whole career. Look for Dario Saric and Taj Gibson to have good games since Gorgui Dieng (personal) is also out. Both are DFS options.

  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson scored 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting with five rebounds and four steals in a win over the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

Gibson has provided consistent late-round value this season and is mainly a rebounding and field goal percentage specialist. Dario Saric's presence has affected Gibson's minutes, but this one was one-sided as Saric only saw 18 minutes to Gibson's 36. Gibson is the preferred option of the two to own this season.

  • Gorgui Dieng - C - Minnesota Timberwolves

Gorgui Dieng left Friday’s game with a left hip contusion and will not return.

Dieng finished Friday’s game with eight points, four rebounds and an assist in 12 minutes off the bench. If Dieng has to miss any time which seems likely, we could see more Keita Bates-Diop but it’s more likely Taj Gibson gets more run backing up Karl-Anthony Towns while Dario Saric fills in at power forward.

  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson was ejected on Friday after pursuing official James Williams for a call he didn't like.

Gibson ended his night with eight points, four rebounds and an assist in 21 minutes. He's still holding top-120 9-cat value on the season.

  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson put up 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting with five rebounds and two defensive stats (one steal and one block) in a win over the Suns on Sunday.

Gibson is just outside the top-120 on the season and is a good rebounding and field goal percentage specialist. His minutes have dipped slightly since the Wolves traded for Dario Saric, but he is still a late-round guy that should be owned in most formats.

  • Karl-Anthony Towns - F/C - Minnesota Timberwolves

Karl-Anthony Towns had a game to forget in Friday’s home loss to the Spurs, fouling out after 21 minutes with 23 points, one 3, six rebounds and three turnovers.

Towns has had a bit of a rough week, shooting just 44 percent from the field coming into Friday’s game. He’s still a top-8 play for the year so don’t freak out. Taj Gibson double-doubled with 14 points, 11 boards and two blocks and has maintained his top-125 play under his new coach.

  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson posted his second straight double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in 26 minutes on Sunday.

That's all well and good, but Gibson's minutes might be in jeopardy with the firing of Tom Thibodeau. The Wolves should be turning their eyes towards the future, which would be great news for Dario Saric. He was outplayed by Anthony Tolliver for the second straight game (25 minutes to 22) but we have a hard time imagining that keeps up now that the Wolves are under new management. Gibson's still a hold wherever he may be owned but his arrow is certainly pointing down, while Saric's stock should be trending upward. He's a flier if you're not happy with the end of your bench but we'd like to see a game or two with the new rotations before fully endorsing any moves.

  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson (personal) is not listed on the injury report for Monday's game.

Gibson missed Saturday's game because of a death in the family but should reprise his starting role tomorrow. Dario Saric played well in a start with Gibson out but figures to go back to limited work in a reserve role. Feel free to get Gibson back in your lineups for next week.

  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson (personal) has been ruled of Saturday's game vs. the Suns.

That sounds a lot better than Taj Gibson (Thibs) and owners can relax as Gibson isn't hurt despite all the miles he's played for Thibs with the Bulls and Wolves. It's Dario Saric's time to shine.

  • Taj Gibson - F - Minnesota Timberwolves

Taj Gibson scored 11 points with 10 rebounds on 4-of-5 shooting in a huge win over the Hornets on Wednesday.

He added two 3-pointers, one block and one assist to the box score. Dario Saric put up eight points and seven rebounds on 3-of-8 shooting. Since the trade, his value has gone down, but he is still worth owning in deep leagues for his double-double potential. He is currently at top-120 value, but that will likely drop to top-150 by the end of the season. He is a must-own in deep leagues but owners in standard formats can move on.
