Talen Horton-Tucker spent the vast majority of the season in the G League with the South Bay Lakers where he put together a solid rookie season after being drafted in the second round.

Horton-Tucker appeared ever so briefly in two NBA games, but over 38 games in the G League he averaged 18.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4 assists, 1.9 3-pointers and 1.4 steals. He'll need to polish his deep ball (.309 percent on 6.1 3PA) to be able to play on an offense driven by LeBron James, but Horton-Tucker should have a chance to enter more than two NBA games next year.

The Lakers have selected Talen Horton-Tucker with the 46th pick.

The Iowa State freshman had a solid season with 11.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. He was a member of the Big-12 All-Freshmen team and his stock rose as the draft grew closer. He scored over 20 points six times this season and should immediately have a role on the Lakers’ bench. However, he will likely not hold much fantasy value in year one. This pick was originally acquired from the Magic, who will receive a future pick as compensation.
