Thabo Sefolosha

Fantasy News

  • Luc Mbah a Moute
    SF, Houston Rockets

Shams Charania reported that the Houston Rockets plan to sign Luc Mbah a Moute for the Orlando restart.

Thabo Sefolosha announced on Wednesday that he will not participate in the Orlando restart, leaving the Rockets with a need for an additional three-and-D wing. Mbah a Moute played 61 games for the Rockets in 2017-18 and averaged 25.6 minutes per game, so he is familiar with their system. Mbah a Moute will be a low-usage player that the Rockets can plug in at the end of their rotation and will provide them more depth, which could be imperative for teams given the COVID-19 concerns surrounding this Orlando restart.

  • Thabo Sefolosha
    SF, Houston Rockets

Thabo Sefolosha will not participate in Orlando when the league resumes.

Sefolosha was a deep rotation piece for the Rockets as he only eclipsed the 20 minute mark once this season. There isn't much of a fantasy impact here as Sefolosha played in just two of the team's final nine games.

  • Thabo Sefolosha
    SF, Houston Rockets

Thabo Sefolosha will not face the Grizzlies on Wednesday as he deals with flu-like symptoms.

Sefolosha is only averaging 10.7 minutes per game this season across 40 games. He can be ignored from a fantasy perspective across formats.

  • Clint Capela
    C, Houston Rockets

Clint Capela (right heel contusion) will not play against the Pelicans on Sunday.

Capela was held out on Friday and rather than deploy Isaiah Hartenstein, Mike D'Antoni successfully went with the smallest lineup since 1963. The 6'5" P.J. Tucker started at center with Danuel House and Thabo Sefolosha occupying the frontcourt. Whether the Rockets decide to go small again on Sunday or not, P.J. Tucker will get a ton of minutes regardless.

  • Austin Rivers
    PG, Houston Rockets

Austin Rivers (sprained right thumb) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game versus the Thunder.

Rivers was forced to sit out of Saturday's game versus the Lakers and we saw Thabo Sefolosha make his way back into the rotation for 10 minutes.

Thabo Sefolosha (illness) is available to play during Saturday's game versus the Nets.

No fantasy news here, as Sefolsha has barley cracked the rotation.

  • Thabo Sefolosha
    SF, Houston Rockets

Thabo Sefolosha (illness) is doubtful for Wednesday's game with the Warriors.

Sefolosha has only cracked 10 minutes once in the last seven games and can be left on the wire in all formats.

  • Thabo Sefolosha
    SF, Houston Rockets

Thabo Sefolosha (illness) will not play vs. the Kings on Monday.

Sefolosha has hardly gotten any minutes lately, so this will have minimal affect on the Rockets rotation.

  • Thabo Sefolosha
    SF, Houston Rockets

Thabo Sefolosha scored zero points with five boards in Thursday's game against the Bucks.

Sefolosha came in for 10 minutes and played some decent defense but missed his only 3-point attempt. He's not a fantasy factor as long as the Rockets are healthy.

  • Gerald Green
    SG, Houston Rockets

Shams Charania of The Athletic is reporting that the Rockets are know fearing that Gerald Green (broken left foot) will miss the full 2019-20 season.

Green's injury trends down once again and now he is unlikely to play this year. With Green out, Danuel House and Thabo Sefolosha will see an increase in minutes.

  • Thabo Sefolosha
    SF, Houston Rockets

After playing in the Rockets’ first preseason game, Thabo Sefolosha will get a rest day against the Raptors tomorrow.

Sefolosha will provide some insurance depth this season for the Rockets after spending the last couple seasons with the Jazz. He is not in the fantasy radar and shouldn't be drafted in standard leagues.

  • Thabo Sefolosha
    SF, Houston Rockets

The Rockets have signed forward Thabo Sefolosha to a one-year contract.

Sefolosha only played 12 minutes per game last season with the Jazz. However, he should be in the mix for reserve minutes with the Rockets. Aside from steals, he won't be that appealing to fantasy squads.

Marc Stein is reporting that the Rockets will sign Thabo Sefolosha.

Sefolosha was among the names at a recent mini camp, and he should make for a nice fit as a defensive stopper off the bench. The Rockets have a pretty thin group of reserves so we'd expect Sefolosha to be a regular rotation player, which puts him on the board as a steals specialist in deep leagues.
