  • Dzanan Musa
    SG, Brooklyn Nets

The Nets have assigned Dzanan Musa and Theo Pinson to their NBA G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.

These two have been banished to Long Island countless times this season and neither of them are on the fantasy radar currently. Musa has the profile of a microwave scorer of the bench, with his stats from international play to back it up, but it simply hasn't translated to the NBA.

The Nets have recalled G Theo Pinson ahead of Thursday's game with the Lakers.

Pinson will serve as guard depth as the team prepares to play three games in the next four nights. It's possible that Kyrie Irving sits out one game of the back-to-back set against the Pistons and Knicks over the weekend.

The Nets have assigned Theo Pinson to their NBA G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.

Garrett Temple has returned to action so there are really no minutes available for Pinson. He can remain on the waiver wire.

  • Dzanan Musa
    SG, Brooklyn Nets

The Nets have recalled Dzanan Musa and Theo Pinson from their G League affiliate on Monday.

Musa was a walking bucket in the Euroleague and has continued his high-scoring ways for the Long Island Nets this season. Unfortunately, the Nets are back to full health on the wings, so it's unlikely he or Pinson crack the rotation in any meaninful way. Move along.

  • Garrett Temple
    SG, Brooklyn Nets

Garrett Temple (right knee contusion) will not face the Mavs on Thursday.

Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot, Theo Pinson and Rodions Kurucs could all see additional opportunity with Temple ruled out. None of these guys are worth rostering in standard leagues but could be interesting low-cost DFS plays on Thursday's nine-game slate.

  • Garrett Temple
    SG, Brooklyn Nets

Garrett Temple is questionable to face the Mavs on Thursday as he nurses a bruised right knee.

Temple has seen his role increase with the absence of Caris LeVert and Kyrie Irving. The per-game value of around 200 is most likely the fantasy ceiling for Temple. If upside is what is desired, it is best to look elsewhere. If Temple sits out Thursday, there could be more opportunity for Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot, Theo Pinson and Rodions Kurucs.

  • David Nwaba
    SF, Brooklyn Nets

David Nwaba had successful surgery on his torn Achilles on Friday.

Nwaba had been playing well for the Nets lately but will be out for the season after this injury and can be dropped in all leagues. Wilson Chandler, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Theo Pinson could see more minutes with Nwaba out, but all three players can be left on the wire until further notice.

  • David Nwaba
    SF, Brooklyn Nets

David Nwaba suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the loss to the Spurs on Thursday.

Nwaba had four points in 16 minutes and had been good off the bench for this Nets team that is really struggling with depth right now. With his minutes vacated, the Nets will need more from some combination of Wilson Chandler, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Theo Pinson, who have all been playing mid-teens minutes of late.

  • Theo Pinson
    PG, Brooklyn Nets

Theo Pinson played 15 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, adding 12 points (5-for-9 shooting), three rebounds, two triples, two assists and a block.

This isn't much more than a hot shooting night from Pinson in what was a lackluster showing from most of the Nets bench.

  • Iman Shumpert
    SG, Brooklyn Nets

Iman Shumpert (left knee soreness) is considered questionable for Wednesday's game.

This is an upgrade, but there's still no guarantee that Shumpert can play. Expect Theo Pinson and Garrett Temple to receive more minutes than usual if he is held out. Shumpert doesn't provide much outside of steals in his limited role.

  • Iman Shumpert
    SG, Brooklyn Nets

Iman Shumpert (left knee soreness) is being listed as doubtful to play against the Hornets on Wednesday.

It is looking likely that Shumpert won't play in this one. Joe Harris, Garrett Temple and Theo Pinson will likely split the majority of Shumpert's 18.8 mpg.

  • Theo Pinson
    PG, Brooklyn Nets

Theo Pinson played 18 minutes on Saturday with Kyrie Irving out, posting 10 points, three assists, a steal and two triples.

Pinson looks like the next man up at point guard but he's only a streaming candidate unless we get word that Irving is set to miss time. Uncle Drew played through the injury against Denver and sat against the lowly Bulls so it doesn't look like a serious issue as of yet.

  • Theo Pinson
    PG, Brooklyn Nets

Michael Scotto of the Athletic is reporting that the Nets and Theo Pinson have agreed to a two-year deal.

After rescinding their qualifying offer to Pinson in order to manufacture some extra cap space, the Nets are bringing back their promising young guard. He isn’t expected to be a fantasy contributor though and will only provide insurance in case injuries hit Brooklyn hard.

Theo Pinson (low back tightness) will miss Sunday's Summer League game.

The Nets rescinded their qualifying offer on Pinson last night, so it's been a rough day for him. It's possible he returns to the organization once they make their big free agent signings official, and there's been nothing to suggest that his current injury is all that serious.

  • Theo Pinson
    PG, Brooklyn Nets

The Nets have rescinded their qualifying offer for Theo Pinson, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Brooklyn has to do some cap gymnastics to fit all their new players under the cap, but it's possible that they bring Pinson back once all the accounting is complete. Pinson had a strong showing in the G-League last season and has fans in the organization but whether he returns may depend on how interested other teams are.
