The Hornets waived Thomas Welsh on Thursday.

Welsh was never considered a favorite to make the final roster. He may end up playing for the Hornets' G-League affiliate for this season in hopes of making it back to the NBA. The Hornets roster now stands at 19.

Free Agent center Thomas Welsh has signed a deal with the Charlotte Hornets.

Welsh suited up for 11 games with Denver last season. The Hornets have too many bodies at center to expect that Welsh will make the roster when the league tips off in October. He will compete in training camp and will likely spend a good amount of time in the G-League this season. There is no need to monitor him for fantasy purposes.

The Nuggets waived two-way C Thomas Welsh on Tuesday.

The Nuggets now have one regular-season roster spot and two two-way spots open, and Bol Bol still unsigned. The Nuggets have a relatively deep frontcourt, so Welsh was looking at a deep reserve role anyway. Welsh will try to latch on elsewhere.

Thomas Welsh was inactive Wednesday as the Nuggets defeated the Wolves.

The 2018 late second round pick (58th) only played in 11 games with the big league club and averaged 3.3 mpg in those contests, resulting in top-500 value. He can be ignored for fantasy purposes heading into next season.

Thomas Welsh (right shoulder soreness) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Thunder.

Welsh was just recalled from the G-League this morning. He's not going to play outside of garbage time, healthy or otherwise.

The Nuggets have recalled Thomas Welsh from their G-League affiliate.

Welsh had been up with the team during Paul Millsap's injury but didn't make much of an impact. On the season he's averaging 3.7 minutes in nine appearances, with his last coming in the January 15th blowout against the Warriors. There's no fantasy impact here.

The Nuggets have called up Thomas Welsh from the G-League for more depth in the frontcourt with Paul Millsap sidelined.

Welsh has only appeared in three games this year for a total of 12 minutes so the Nuggets second-round pick is not expected to be in the rotation and can be ignored in all leagues. The 7'0" rookie out of UCLA has has averaged 7.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.7 triples, 0.1 steals and 0.3 blocks in 20.3 minutes through seven G-League games so far.

The Nuggets will sign second-round pick Thomas Welsh to a two-way contract.

Welsh was the 58th pick in the draft and is a 7-footer with a knockdown jumper. He'll be a good name to track at Summer League as his skillset could be fun for fantasy purposes down the line. Don't expect much of anything this year, though.

The Nuggets drafted UCLA center Thomas Welsh with the 58th pick in the draft.

Welsh stands 7'0" (which you can't teach) and hit over 40 percent from deep as a senior on 112 attempts — after just one attempt from behind the arc in his first three college seasons. He's regarded as a guy with a nice shooting stroke but is also a bit of a plodder whose lack of footspeed will hurt him on defense. He's a high character upside play with a modern offensive skillset.
