  • Kyle Collinsworth
    PG, Utah Jazz

The Jazz announced that they have agreed to terms with Kyle Collinsworth, while in a corresponding move, they have waived Trevon Blueitt.

Collinsworth’s deal with the Jazz comes a day after the team’s G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars, acquired him from Raptors 905, the affiliate of the Raptors. Last year, in 28 games in the G League, he averaged 10.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.8 steals in 31.1 minutes per game, while shooting 44.9 percent from the field. He isn’t expected to make the final roster but he should stick with the Salt Lake City Stars for the foreseeable future.

Trevon Bluiett and Juwan Morgan sign with the Jazz in the hopes of one day playing in an NBA game.

Bluiett was on a two-way contract with the Pelicans last season while Juwan Morgan played for the Jazz in the 2019 Summer League. They will both compete for a roster spot in training camp but neither is a guarantee to make the final roster. They both have yet to see the court in an NBA game and can be ignored from a fantasy perspective until that day comes.

  • Trevon Bluiett
    PF, New Orleans Pelicans

Trevon Bluiett scored 23 points for the Pelicans in Saturday’s loss, adding four rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks.

With Zion Williamson out for the rest of the Summer League the Pelicans are going to look for other players to pick up the scoring load. Bluiett did the majority of his damage behind the arc, making six 3-pointers, including back-to-back shots to start the game. He was not very efficient from the field, shooting a game-high 19 shots while only converting eight of them. Bluiett does not have a realistic chance of making the final roster so he will continue to try to make the most of his increased playing time.

  • Trevon Bluiett
    G/F, New Orleans Pelicans

Trevon Bluiett (ulnar collateral ligament) had successful surgery on his thumb.

There was no word of an official timetable but considering Spencer Dinwiddie has a 3-to-6 week timetable for a similar procedure, that's probably around what Bluiett is looking at. He's not a fantasy option even when healthy.

Undrafted rookie Trevon Bluiett signed a two-way NBA contract with the Pelicans Thursday.

Bluiett was a four-year player for Xavier that averaged 15.9 points per game in his career. After not being selected in the NBA draft, Bluiett has been referred to as the most impressive undrafted player this summer and has earned another chance to prove himself. Bluiett will be in the G-League for most of the season as his two-way contract only allows for 45 days of NBA service.
