  • De'Aaron Fox
    PG, Sacramento Kings

The Kings had a healthy roster on Friday, with De'Aaron Fox (sore lower back), Dewayne Dedmon (illness), Corey Joseph (calf) and Trevor Ariza (lipoma excision) all full participants at practice.

The team is rounding into form with the regular season around the corner. This roster comes with a decent amount of depth which could keep typical fantasy-relevant names, such as Dedmon, Ariza and Joseph, from reaching their full potential.

De'Aaron Fox (sore lower back) got in some non-contact work at practice along with teammates Dewayne Dedmon (illness) and Cory Joseph (calf) while Trevor Ariza (lipoma excision) returned to practice.

This is good news for the Kings as they look like they will be near full strength when the regular season begins. Expect all four players to be healthy enough to play opening night barring a major setback.

  • Bogdan Bogdanovic
    SG, Sacramento Kings

Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 16 points on 6-of-16 shooting with five rebounds, eight assists, a steal, a block and two triples on Monday against the Jazz.

Bogdanovic put up a solid line and is a great player to have coming off the bench, but this situation means his fantasy value is very limited. The Kings have a plethora of guys that can play and Bogdanovic came off the bench even with Trevor Ariza (DNP-CD) sitting this one out.

  • Trevor Ariza
    SF, Sacramento Kings

The Kings announced that Trevor Ariza has undergone a procedure to remove a lipoma from his back.

Ariza will miss the rest of the preseason and will be re-evaluated on October 16. A lipoma is a non-cancerous growth that can cause discomfort, among other things, so it's not surprising that Ariza would want this dealt with now. His fantasy stock was already shrinking and it's safe to write the veteran off outside of deeper formats. Harrison Barnes and Bogdan Bogdanovic should absorb whatever minutes that Ariza was going to get at small forward.

  • Richaun Holmes
    PF, Sacramento Kings

Richaun Holmes (sore groin) will not play against the Pacers on Saturday.

This is the first we are hearing about Holmes’ injury but hopefully it is not serious and another update is sure to follow. He put up 10 points, four rebounds, two blocks and two steals in 19 minutes off the bench in Friday’s preseason opener. Trevor Ariza and Cory Joseph are also being held out of today’s game but neither has an injury designation, unlike Holmes.

  • Trevor Ariza
    SF, Sacramento Kings

The Kings announced on Sunday the official signing of veteran Trevor Ariza.

Ariza lands with the Kings on a two-year deal worth $25 million. He's a good addition to the team as a reliable 3-and-D player on the court and an experienced veteran off the court. He's not the same mid-round stud he used to be, but he should still hold late-round value for his ability to generate 3s and steals while committing few turnovers.

Trevor Ariza plans to sign a two-year, $25 million deal with the Sacramento Kings according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Ariza will join a deep wing rotation in Sacramento and figures to become a key part of their bench as they make a run for the playoffs. From a fantasy perspective this figures to be a decent blow to Ariza's value, who is unlikely to see the amount of playing time that he saw in Washington.

    F, Washington Wizards

Despite leaving Houston, joining one of the worst teams in the league and being traded mid-season, Trevor Ariza (left groin strain) finished the season with top-90 value.

That groin injury kept him out of the season’s final seven games as well as 10 of the last 11. Ariza played 23 games for the Suns before finishing the year with 46 games in Washington. He’s certainly in the decline phase of his career and saw his 3-point effectiveness dip to just .334 from behind the arc, though he still more or less delivered for fantasy owners with 12.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.1 triples per game. It’s worth pointing out that he actually scored 14.1 points per game with the Wizards, so perhaps a reunion would be good news for his fantasy stock. Ariza also averaged 1.5 turnovers this season, his first time over 0.9 per game in the last two seasons, wiping out the gap between his 8- and 9-cat values. Still, Ariza’s fantasy game figures to age gracefully and he’ll be a late-middle round contributor until the steals really dip.

Trevor Ariza (left groin strain) will not play on Tuesday.

Ariza's season was reported to be over, but we'll keep giving you updates until the Wizards say something officially. Troy Brown Jr. will keep on starting.

Trevor Ariza (strained left groin) is likely to miss the rest of the season.

Ariza's continued absence should play out similiarly to how it has been over the past few games. Bobby Portis and Troy Brown Jr. should continue to start while Jabari Parker sees ample minutes off the bench and Jeff Green is sprinkled in. The trio of Portis, Brown and Parker all have safe floors with nice upside. The Wizards' next game is at home on Wednesday against a depleted Bulls team. Parker and Portis get one more revenge game before the season comes to a close.

Trevor Ariza (strained left groin) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Nuggets.

Ariza has missed the last two games and it's unlikely we'll see him again this year. Bobby Portis should continue to start alongside Thomas Bryant, while Troy Brown Jr.'s starting small forward spot is safe as well. The first two are must-start options with Brown and his volume making some sense in deeper formats or streaming scenarios. Jabari Parker, also a must-start player, gets a more stable floor too.

The Wizards are listing Trevor Ariza (strained left groin) as out for Wednesday's game vs. The Suns.

With Ariza out, Troy Brown Jr. will likely slide into his starting role. In addition to Brown, Jabari Parker, Jeff Green and Bobby Portis are all in line to see extra minutes and a few more shots. Both the Suns and Wizards are in the bottom four in defensive effincieny making this a game to target on a small DFS slate.

Trevor Ariza (groin) did not return to Tuesday's game against the Lakers after just seven minutes of action.

Ariza returned from a two-game absence tonight but only made it through seven minutes after re-aggravating his left groin issue. With the Wiz having nothing to play for we'd be shocked if he returns to the game, and frankly Ariza should be done for the season. His night will end with six points and a 3-pointer.
