Trevor Ariza (sore left groin) will return from a two-game absence and start on Tuesday night, pushing Bobby Portis to the bench against the Lakers.

Ariza returns surprisingly quickly, especially given Washington's spot in the standings, so you can feel free to scoop him up in all leagues where he may have been dropped by an owner that was quick on the trigger. Both he and Portis will be worth starting in all leagues, however, and you should at least wait until we see how things shake out tonight before making a call on BP. Jabari Parker and Troy Brown should also be affected by Ariza's return.

Trevor Ariza (left groin strain) is doubtful to play on Tuesday against the Lakers.

The Wizards haven't shut Ariza down just yet but that looks to be where things are heading. Troy Brown will continue to start in his place and is worth a look in deep leagues, while Ariza is fairly safe to drop in most formats.

Trevor Ariza (left groin strain) will not play in Saturday's game against the Heat.

Ariza didn't participate in morning shootaround and was listed as doubtful. He might be done for the season with the Wizards just about toast in the playoff race. Troy Brown should continue to start and log 30-plus minutes with regularity, so he's at least worth keeping an eye on in deeper formats.

Trevor Ariza (strained left groin) was not a participant in morning shootaround on Saturday.

The Wizards take on the Heat on Saturday so it is highly doubtful that Ariza suits up and there is a decent chance he gets shut down for the season. Troy Brown Jr. picked up the start last game and put up 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and no other stats in 33 minutes. He could be given ample run to close the season but hasn't shown enough to be considered outside of very deep leagues for now.

Trevor Ariza (strained left groin) has been ruled out on Thursday night and Troy Brown Jr. will make his first career start in Ariza's place.

Ariza could very well be done for the season with Washington pretty much out of the playoff race, though he's still being regarded as day-to-day for now. Brown started the second half in Ariza's place on Wednesday and has climbed from DNP-CD to the team's sixth man as he finishes his season strong. He delivered nine points, 10 rebounds, a steal and a three in 30 minutes last night and is worth a look in deep leagues.

Trevor Ariza (strained left groin) is doubtful to face the Nuggets on Thursday after leaving Wednesday's game against the Bulls.

The Wizards have one of the deepest forward rotations in the league with Jabari Parker, Jeff Green, Bobby Portis, Troy Brown Jr. and even Wesley Johnson all looking to pick up extra minutes. Parker is the best of the bunch, but Brown, who started the second half in place of Ariza, is worth a deep-league add as the most likely available player of the lot in your league.

Trevor Ariza has been diagnosed with a left groin strain and will not return to Wednesday's game vs. the Bulls.

Ariza ends the night with six points, two rebounds, two 3s and two assists in 14 minutes of action. Troy Brown started the second half in his stead. Brown is an intriguing pickup in deep leagues should Ariza be forced to miss time.

Trevor Ariza scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting to go with a rebound, three assists and two treys on Monday.

Ariza started off hot, hitting his first five shots and scoring 10 points in the first quarter alone, but was eventually slowed down by the Jazz defense. He'll have a chance to deliver more on defense in Wednesday's contest against the Bulls.

Trevor Ariza was inefficient in Saturday's game, putting up eight points on 3-for-8 shooting, four rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks.

He's been a top-125 player in the past month and it's safe to say he's been inconsistent during that span as well. Ariza is putting up averages of 13.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.9 triples. The steals have dipped which contributed to his fall out of the top-100.

  • Jabari Parker
    F, Washington Wizards

Jabari Parker double-doubled in Friday’s home loss to the Hornets, scoring 17 points (no 3s) to go with 11 rebounds, four assists and a turnover in 34 minutes off the bench.

Parker has gotten a lot of run since being traded to the Wizards and has been a standard-league play. He’s been even better over his last two weeks with top-70 value in 9-cat. Trevor Ariza also had a nice game with 10 points, two 3s, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals, two blocks and four turnovers.

Trevor Ariza (sore right knee) and Sam Dekker (sore back) will be available to play the Hornets on Friday.

Ariza can be deployed as usual while Dekker can be left on the wire.

Trevor Ariza (sore right knee) is questionable to face the Hornets on Friday.

Ariza has been a consistent middle-round producer and his absence would be a big one in a matchup that could have a major effect on the bottom of the Eastern playoff bracket. Troy Brown Jr. could be elevated even further after making his way from regular DNP to sixth man over the last few weeks.

Trevor Ariza hit rock-bottom on Wednesday as he mustered just two points on 1-of-6 shooting and three rebounds in 22 minutes.

This is as bad as it gets from Ariza, who's usually a reliable source of threes and steals. Chalk this one up to an off night and keep him slotted in for Washington's stacked schedule ahead. Jeff Green was also disappointing with his eight points on 1-of-5 shooting, adding one rebound, one 3-pointer and one steal in 28 minutes.

    F, Washington Wizards

Trevor Ariza had an empty double-double on Monday with 11 points and 10 boards to go with three assists and a 3-pointer.

Ariza went 5-for-14 from the floor and a lowly 1-for-7 from deep. He also failed to record a steal or a block. The steals numbers have actually dipped over the past two weeks, as he's only tallying 0.6 swipes per contest but his 2.4 3s are keeping him just inside the top-80 in 9-cat leagues.

Trevor Ariza went 7-for-11 from downtown on Saturday en route to his 27 points (8-of-13 shooting), three rebounds, four assists and one steal.

Ariza has been a top-75 player over the last two weeks and will be a solid source of threes and steals down the stretch.
