Ty Lawson signed with Fujian Sturgeons of the Chinese Basketball Association on Thursday.
Lawson, who turns 32 this year, will spend another season in China. There is a chance that Lawsons' NBA career could be over.

Ty Lawson has a agreed on a one-year deal with Shandong Golden Stars of the CBA.
Lawson played for Shandong last year before joining the Wizards for their playoff series against the Raptors. He worked out for the Pelicans this offseason but couldn't reach a deal. The 31-year-old veteran might not be done with the NBA just yet. As a side tidbit, the Shandong Golden Stars are currently led by former NBA player Donatas Motiejunas who is averaging 24.4 points, 15.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.1 blocks, leading the team in all four categories. They are sitting in the middle of the pack with a 9-9 record so Lawson should be able to provide a nice boost.

Candace Buckner of the Washington Post reports that the Wizards have expressed interest in free agents Jamal Crawford, Luc Mbah a Moute, Dante Cunningham, Willie Reed and Ty Lawson.
That's an eclectic bunch. Lawson joined the Wiz for the playoffs last season and would only be a low-minute backup. Crawford would give them some much needed scoring punch while Mbah a Moute and Cunningham would vastly improve their forward group by adding a little bit of defensive toughness to the mix. Reed would just be a depth center add, as it's highly unlikely he could unseat incumbent Ian Mahinmi after his nightmare season. None of these players will be fantasy options, though Crawford would come the closest if you squinted at it for a long time.

Mike Scott didn’t miss a shot on Friday night, hitting 4-for-4 to end up with 12 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and two 3-pointers in the Wizards’ win over the Raptors.
The Threegional Manager did his part on Friday night, knocking down every shot attempt including two from deep. He played a large part in the Wizards’ bench stepping up to draw blood in this series and make it 2-1, Toronto. Kelly Oubre chipped in 12 points, four rebounds, two blocks and a steal. Ian Mahinmi scored six to go with two rebounds, one assist, one steal and three huge blocks. Even Ty Lawson added a little something, hitting a 3 as the 3rd quarter expired. Washington’s bench adding literally anything is a far cry from how things went in Games 1 and 2. Let’s see if it can continue on their home floor in Sunday’s Game 4.

Ty Lawson was playing in the second round of the Chinese Basketball Association playoffs this time last week but the Wizards shuffled him over from China immediately following the conclusion of his team’s playoff run.
Lawson, who agreed to a deal for the rest of the season with the Wizards last Friday, did not play in the playoff opener against the Raptors, but he has more postseason experience over the last two weeks than anyone in this series. It’s unclear if he will actually see minutes but the team had plans to bring him in sooner as they believe he can contribute. The Wizards obviously want some insurance in case John Wall goes down with an injury and Jodie Meeks is also out indefinitely following his suspension while Scott Brooks could opt to use him in order to contain Fred VanVleet.

Ty Lawson signed with the Wizards on Thursday and will be eligible for the playoffs.
Lawson was playing overseas and he had a nice season with the Kings last year, so it will be interesting to see how things have progressed. The Wizards have Tomas Satoransky in a backup role and he has received a lot of run, especially recently, but Lawson gives Scott Brooks a different look. We wouldn't count on him being in the rotation.
