Vince Carter has agreed to a one-year deal with the Hawks, per Adrian Wojanrowski.

The expectation is that Carter will retire at the end of this season. This upcoming year with be Carter's 22nd in the league, the most of anyone in NBA history, and you can expect that he'll receive a fond farewell tour when the Hawks hit the road. VC played 17.5 minutes per game last season and can still contribute on the floor, but he is unlikely to be a major part of Atlanta's rotation.

The Hawks are saving a roster spot for Vince Carter according to Chris Kirschner of The Athletic.

With two open roster spots, the Hawks are apparently reserving one of them for Vince Carter while the other is expected to remain open to start the season in order to help facilitate trades to help acquire future draft picks. Carter is still unsure if he wants to return to Atlanta for an NBA-record 22nd season as he doesn't want to ride the bench but says he will figure something out, "…hopefully, within the coming days." If Carter doesn't return, Ray Spalding and Marcus Derrickson would be the current competitors for that 14th roster spot.

Vince Carter joined Kent Bazemore on the Winging It podcast and definitively stated, "I'm coming back," when asked about his playing future.

Carter's far removed from the days of Vinsanity, but the 42-year-old NBA veteran still has some fight left in the tank. It will be interesting to see where he lands next year. Carter did say, “I would like to. We’ll see what happens,” when asked if he would return to the Hawks.

Vince Carter played 12 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers, putting a cap on his 21st NBA season.

Half Man Half Amazing and nearly Half a Century. The league’s oldest player missed only six games on the season and is on the record saying he wants to play next year too. Vinsanity may very well find a suitor next season, where his veteran presence will provide far more real life value than it will fantasy.

Vince Carter (rest) will not play on Wednesday against the Sixers.

A well-deserved night off for Carter, who has been a solid contributor from the get-go for Atlanta. He's still a deep-league option for threes and the occasional big scoring night, but fantasy owners should look elsewhere tonight.

Vince Carter came off the bench for 16 points, a steal and four 3-pointers on Saturday against the Celtics.

Carter's played a surprisingly large role for the Hawks down the stretch but deep-league owners aren't complaining. VC's a solid bet for 3-pointers the rest of the way and can pop with some nice scoring efforts like this as well.

Vince Carter said he hopes to play in a 22nd NBA season next year if teams are interested.

At 42 years old, Vinsanity is averaging 7.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 triples on a career-high 40.9 percent shooting from downtown in 16.6 minutes for the Hawks, his eighth NBA team. If he does play one more full season, that would bump him ahead of Dikembe Mutombo for fourth oldest player of all-time. He is currently 20th on NBA’s all-time scoring list and sixth all-time in 3-pointers. He is not on any fantasy radar anymore but will always be half-man, half-amazing.

Vince Carter (right knee contusion) is available for Monday's game against the Heat.

Carter has actually been inside the top-180 over his last four games, and is a decent option in this game. It's a back-to-back for the Hawks, but Carter only played 12 minutes in Sunday's game, so he may not be as tired as usual. If you've been using him, there's no reason to stop now.

Vince Carter (right knee contusion) is probable for Monday's game vs. the Heat.

Carter has been getting more and more valuable over the past two weeks as he's inside the top-180 over his past four games. He only played 12 minutes in his last outing but that's only because he played 45 minutes in Friday's 4OT game vs. the Bulls. He should be ready to play tonight so if you need to insert him in your lineup, feel free to do so.

Vince Carter (right knee contusion) has been cleared to play on Sunday.

Carter logged 44 minutes in the 4OT marathon on Friday against these Bulls but will give it a go in the rematch despite a minor issue. It seemed like a good rest spot but the Hawks will have their veteran available.

Carter gives us a few nostalgic moments every now and again, but he's not on the fantasy radar.

Vince Carter scored 13 points to go with three 3s, seven rebounds, a steal and a block in Friday's 4OT loss to the Bulls and he became the oldest player ever to play more than 44 minutes in a game (44:53).

Carter continues to surprise even at 42 years of age and we hope he'll stick around next season as he's still a pleasure to watch. He's been outside the top-200 all season so he's not an option for fantasy however.

Vince Carter came off the bench for 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting in Wednesday's win over the Wolves, adding four assists, a block and three 3-pointers.

Always good to see Carter tear it up. The Hawks went with a lot of smaller lineups tonight with Dewayne Dedmon in foul trouble and Alex Len looking like Alex Len, and Carter was the big beneficiary. Don't get used to it.

Vince Carter scored 21 points off the bench in Saturday's win over the Cavs, hitting 7-of-11 shots (including four threes) with four rebounds and one steal in 23 minutes.

Carter has no fantasy value but anytime he hits the box score like this we're happy to publicize it. Most people his age can't take out the garbage without pulling a hammy.
