Wayne Ellington (sore left Achilles) will miss his eighth straight game on Saturday.

How ever will the Knicks hang with Milwaukee tonight? Ellington's not on the fantasy radar and deep-league GMs can pivot to Damyean Dotson for triples.

Wayne Ellington (sore left Achilles) will not play on Friday.

Ellington has been out for a couple weeks now and has yet to return to practice, which means that he is off the fantasy radar for the time being.

Wayne Ellington (sore left Achilles) will not play on Tuesday.

Ellington has played sparingly even when he has been healthy. Frank Ntilikina and Elfrid Payton should see most of the minutes at the point.

  • Allonzo Trier
    PG, New York Knicks

Allonzo Trier (concussion) has been ruled out of his next two games vs. the Kings and Nuggets.

He was doubtful just a couple of hours ago but it looks like the Knicks are going to play things safe with him. Kadeem Allen is being summoned to play in the game vs. the Knicks with Trier and Wayne Ellington also out.

Wayne Ellington will miss Friday's game against the Kings with a sore left Achilles.

This will be yet another missed game for Ellington, who hasn't really seen enough playing time when he's on the floor to warrant consideration as a 3-point specialist. He played that role decently in the past, but that would require more volume all around to get to that point.

Wayne Ellington (sore left Achilles) will be unavailable on Wednesday.

Ellington missed Saturday's game as well. He hasn't made a huge impact this season, but Allonzo Trier could see some more action for now.

Wayne Ellington (sore left Achilles) has been ruled out on Saturday.

Ellington isn't much of a fantasy presence with only 14.3 mpg on the season. It remains to be seen how the Knicks will deploy their cast of characters under Mike Miller's guidance, but unless some major cuts get made to the rotation you can just watch this action from afar until things settle down.

  • Elfrid Payton
    PG, New York Knicks

Elfrid Payton (strained right hamstring) will miss his second straight game on Friday vs. the Celtics.

The Knicks will also be without Dennis Smith Jr. (personal) and coach Fizdale said that he will roll with the same lineup that they started on Wednesday. There is no guarantee that Fizdale doesn't change his mind between now and Friday as he is known to make alterations to his starting lineup on a whim. If they do end up rolling out the same guys as Wednesday, their starting lineup will be RJ Barrett, Wayne Ellington, Julius Randle, Marcus Morris and Mitchell Robinson. Frank Ntilikina did end up playing the most point guard minutes than anyone on the team with 29 and is likely to be the primary point guard without both Payton and Smith Jr, despite coming off the bench.

    SG, New York Knicks

Wayne Ellington started Wednesday but disappointed with only two points and two rebounds in 19 minutes.

Ellington even failed to hit a three as he shot 1-of-8 from the floor and 0-of-5 from deep. Ellington has little fantasy value and his role will be inconsistent on the Knicks. Ellington is a low-end streamer for threes in 14-team leagues.

    SG, New York Knicks

Wayne Ellington will start on Wednesday vs. the Knicks in place of the injured Elfrid Payton (strained right hamstring) while Dennis smith Jr. (personal) is away from the team during their two-game road trip.

Coach Fizdale chose to start Ellington next to RJ Barrett in the backcourt tonight instead of Frank Ntilikina who will be the primary point guard off the bench. As long as Fizdale is the coach of the Knicks, the starting lineup is subject to change from one night to the other. Expect Fizdale to go with the hot-hand approach on Wednesday. Ellington doesn't have much fantasy appeal and is a risky dart throw in DFS lineups.

Wayne Ellington chipped in three points and a block in 13 minutes on Wednesday.

It's not much but all four of Ellington's shots came from deep and he'll hold specialist value when he's in the rotation. Tonight he played ahead of Damyean Dotson, a 40-game starter from last season, who did not see the floor at all.

  • Damyean Dotson
    SG, New York Knicks

Damyean Dotson (right shoulder surgery) practiced on Tuesday and is probable for Wednesday's game against the Hawks.

Dotson averaged 10.7 points as a reserve for the Knicks last year and will likely be in a similar role. He is a deep-league option for points, but he will face a lot more competition for minutes this year as the Knicks brought in Wayne Ellington and R.J. Barrett this offseason.

Wayne Ellington (illness) is available for Friday's matchup with the Wizards.

Ellington is battling for minutes at shooting guard so getting back on the court is a big development for him. Even in reserve minutes he'll hold appeal as a 3-point streamer, and good preseason performances will only help that cause given the Knicks' crowded rotation.

  • Kevin Knox
    SF, New York Knicks

Kevin Knox (strained right calf) and Wayne Ellington (illness) are questionable to play the Wizards in Friday's preseason matchup.

Knox is only 20 years old and still has room to grow, but he is expected to come off the bench and doesn't project to see enough time to meaningfully contribute to a fantasy team. Ellington is also slotting back to a reserve role after starting for the Pistons in the second half of last season.

Kevin Knox did not practice on Wednesday due to a right calf strain.

Knox had a reasonable game on Monday against the Wizards, but the Knicks are playing it safe with his calf. Amir Hinton (groin) and Wayne Ellington (illness) also did not practice.
