Ellington was added to the injury report a few hours ago but was deemed probable, so he was never in danger of missing this one.

Wayne Ellington (illness) is probable for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets.

The Pistons need all the firepower they can get against an explosive Nuggets team, especially with a recent slide in the standings. Ellington should be good to go, and this is the first we've heard of the illness, so you can keep him penciled into lineups for the time being.

Wayne Ellington scored just three points on 1-of-5 shooting in Sunday's loss to the Warriors.

Ellington's bucket was a three, naturally, though he also managed three assists and a couple of steals. He was looking like a dynamite play with two strong performances this week but disappointed fantasy owners with eight points total in Saturday and Sunday's back-to-back set. Langston Galloway was better for the second straight night with 12 points and two threes in 26 minutes.

Wayne Ellington struggled in Saturday's loss to the Blazers, scoring five points with no 3-pointers on 2-of-5 from the field in 19 minutes.

Ellington's dud is ill-timed for fantasy owners but he remains someone to use in all formats if you need 3-point shooting. Langston Galloway had the hot hand tonight and ended up with nine points, three triples, a steal and a block in 30 minutes while Luke Kennard wasn't too shabby with 13 points, three rebounds, five assists and a triple in 29 minutes.

  • Danuel House
    G/F, Houston Rockets

Danuel House’s hot shooting collapsed in Friday’s win over the Spurs as he missed all of his shots to finish with zero points, five rebounds and a steal in 19 minutes off the bench.

House came into Friday’s contest with 15 treys over his previous four games so this was a big let down for owners. He only has one more game this week so for H2H owners still hunting 3s for their weekly matchup you might be able to drop him for a player that goes back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday (maybe a Wayne Ellington perhaps).

Wayne Ellington stayed hot on Thursday against the Suns, scoring a team-high 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting with six triples, a rebound, a steal and a block.

The defensive numbers are an added bonus to what was already another great night by Ellington's standards. He's hit 13 triples in his past two games already and even with Luke Kennard (16 points, two triples, two assists and a steal) having a solid game, Ellington is clearly the No. 1 wing option in Detroit.

Wayne Ellington caught fire from deep on Monday and scored 25 points on 8-of-15 shooting with two assists, two steals and seven 3-pointers.

Ellington was on fire tonight for the Pistons which meant Luke Kennard (nine points, four rebounds, two assists, a block and two triples) and Langston Galloway (13 points and three triples) took a backseat. Kennard is still a viable streaming source because of his production in other categories, but Ellington is the starter and better source of treys.

Wayne Ellington scored 12 points on four triples and added four rebounds, two assists and a steal in Friday’s defeat of the visiting Lakers.

Ellington has done what he was brought in to do and that’s hit a bunch of threes, spacing the court for Andre Drummond, Blake Griffin and Reggie Jackson. Over the last two weeks he’s averaged 2.8 threes a game to go with 10.1 points and 1.4 steals, good for top-125 value. He has a Sunday/Monday back-to-back and four games next week.

Wayne Ellington will be a free agent this offseason, and the chance to pursue a championship ring was enticing, but he wanted to join a team where a future role was a distinct possibility.

“My thing was to build something and after the season you see what happens. Hopefully, we continue to keep this thing rolling and this seems to be a great situation right now.” Ellington is shooting 41.1 percent from 3-point range in 11 games since he joined his Pistons, providing the necessary shooting that the team was looking for. He remains a solid streaming option for triples and scoring as he is getting more familiar in his new environment.

  • Luke Kennard
    G, Detroit Pistons

Luke Kennard kept up his efficient ways in Friday’s road win over the Bulls, scoring 14 points on 5-of-8 from the floor with two 3s, three assists, two rebounds and no turnovers in 28 minutes off the bench.

Kennard has been fantastic over his last six games with top-50 value in 9-cat. He won’t put you over the top but is a fine piece to have for efficient points and 3s. Wayne Ellington (top-150 over his last six) had a dud with zero 3s, two points and a steal in 22 minutes.

Wayne Ellington drew another start on Saturday and finished the road win over the Cavs with 15 points, two assists, one rebound and two steals in 21 minutes.

Ellington was scorching with five 3-pointers made and could have done a lot more if the Pistons didn't blow out the Cavs so early in the first quarter. He's a good streamer option in case you need an extra jolt in the 3-point category.

Wayne Ellington drew the start on Friday and finished the road win over the Hawks with nine points, three 3s and a steal in 37 minutes.

Ellington didn’t exactly light the gym on fire in his first start as a Piston but it’s notable that he played 37 minutes and took nine attempts from deep. Considering Detroit’s good schedule in H2H, he’s still a decent add if you need a 3-point specialist.

Wayne Ellington will get the start on Friday vs. the Hawks.

This move will shift Luke Kennard to the bench. Ellington has a chance to lead all waiver guys in trey bombs and he’s a good add if you need a 3-point specialist, though he won’t do much else.
