Wendell Carter Jr.

Fantasy News

  • Lauri Markkanen
    PF, Chicago Bulls

Lauri Markkanen continued his resurgence, making five threes as part of an 18-point (6-of-12 FGs), six-rebound, one-steal performance in 27 minutes on Monday.

Markkanen had a rough start to the season (after his amazing opener), but all of a sudden he's sitting at 48th/32nd (8-cat/9-cat) over the last month. His rebounds are still down significantly from last year and his percentages are way up lately. So, there's probably some regression to come in both directions. His frontcourt-mate, Wendell Carter Jr., had 10 points, 11 rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block in 28 minutes.

Wendell Carter Jr. went to the locker on Monday and returned after a brief absence.

Carter checked out in the first quarter in tonight's game against the Bucks and was replaced by Daniel Gafford. Carter returned quickly.

  • Zach LaVine
    PG, Chicago Bulls

One third of the Bulls' active roster — namely Zach LaVine (right shoulder strain), Ryan Arcidiacono (right elbow discomfort), Wendell Carter Jr. (left abdomen maintenance) and Tomas Satoransky (left ankle soreness) — are being listed as probable for Monday's game against the Bucks.

Our apologies for the bloated injury blurb, but blame this on the Bulls' injury reporting antics. None of these players missed the last game and it follows that they should carry no injury designations heading into today's game. However, the Bulls haven't really been known for making sound logical decisions at the organizational level for years, so it's no surprise that they've decided to approach their injury reporting with the same care that they do free agency, coaching and player development. All of these guys will play, with Arcidiacono being the only player off the fantasy radar.

Wendell Carter Jr. (abdomen) will play for the Bulls on Saturday.

WCJ was probable heading into this update, so it's an unsurprising yet still pleasant bit of news.

Wendell Carter Jr. (left abdomen) is being listed as probable for Monday's game versus the Magic.

WCJ has been and will continue to be on the injury report for maintenance reasons. He's worth targeting as a buy-low candidate and he has plenty of room for improvement.

Wendell Carter Jr. double-doubled on Saturday with 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting and 12 rebounds in 30 minutes.

Carter Jr. is just inside the top-100 on the season with averages of 11.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 0.9 blocks. His blocks per-36 minutes are 1.1 this season compared to 1.9 last season, so he should improve in that area. He is a buy-low target.

  • Zach LaVine
    PG, Chicago Bulls

The Bulls are listing Zach LaVine (right shin contusion), Wendell Carter Jr. (left abdomen, tailbone) and Ryan Arcidiacono (right elbow) as probable for Saturday.

All three have been consistently labeled as probable over the last couple of weeks and there's no expectation that they'll miss any action.

Wendell Carter Jr. notched nine points, nine rebounds, a steal and three blocks in Wednesday's win over the Wizards.

It's been a disappointing campaign so far for Carter, who has middle-round upside but only top-100 value. The biggest issue is that his blocks are down (from 1.3 last year to 0.9 per game this year), so hopefully tonight is WCJ turning the corner. He remains a buy-low option and should start to inch up the rankings.

Wendell Carter Jr. (abdomen/tailbone) will be available to play on Wednesday against the Wizards.

Carter has six blocks over his last two games. While Carter's numbers may not look much better than last season, he has improved his field-goal shooting appreciably. He'll continue to have a place in the starting lineup.

  • Zach LaVine
    PG, Chicago Bulls

The Bulls have listed Zach LaVine (shin/illness), Wendell Carter Jr. (abdomen/tailbone/maintenance) and Ryan Arcidiacono (elbow discomfort) as probable ahead of Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

The Bulls have made a habit of having an extensive injury report this season, with numerous probable seemingly every game. None of LaVine, Carter or Arcidiacono seems to be in any danger of missing this contest. Feel free to use each as you normally would.

Wendell Carter Jr. had a solid night, posting 12 points (5-of-10 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), nine boards, two dimes, a steal and two blocks in 38 minutes on Monday in a loss to the Thunder.

While Carter hasn't made the jump that some hoped this season, he's chugging along with top-100 value. Lauri Markkanen's sub-par season continued with 13 points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks in 36 minutes.

    C, Chicago Bulls

The Bulls continue to be extremely thorough with their injury reporting and have listed Wendell Carter Jr. (left abdomen, tailbone), Zach LaVine (right shin, right shoulder), Tomas Satoransky (left toe) and Kris Dunn (right knee tendinitis) as probable for Monday's game.

That's four out of five starters, none of whom are in real danger of missing the game. Chicago has also listed Denzel Valentine (left ankle) and Ryan Arcidiacono (right elbow) as probable. Deploy all of the Bulls as you normally would.

Wendell Carter Jr. (abdomen, tailbone) will start on Saturday vs. the Clippers

Carter will take his usual spot in the starting lineup. He should produce close to, if not a double-double.

  • Daniel Gafford
    PF, Chicago Bulls

Daniel Gafford blocked a career-high six shots in 20 minutes off the bench on Friday to go along with four points and two rebounds.

This was an eye-opening performance from Gafford, who clearly is a promising big man with the potential to be a contributor in rebounds and blocks. He's still more of a dynasty stash at this stage of his career, though. Wendell Carter Jr. posted six points on 2-of-6 shooting with 11 rebounds, two dimes and three steals.

Wendell Carter Jr. will play through injuries to has abdomen, tailbone and head on Friday, as the Bulls take on the Hornets.

As expected Carter is fine to play, and is just making our lives more difficult with these injury tags. It would be great if Carter made our fantasy lives easier as well and delivered something beyond his usual 10 points and 10 rebounds with little else.
