Wendell Carter Jr. is once again being listed as probable with injuries to his abdomen, tailbone and head, and will likely suit up Friday’s matchup against the Hornets.

We’re only writing this blurb to note the sloppiness with which injury reports out of Chicago are being written. Carter’s specific injury this time is “left abdomen surgery.” Of course, Carter underwent sports hernia surgery in early July and there is a possibility that he’s dealing with some residual discomfort, but there’s no reason to read too deeply into what may be another one of Jim Boylen’s convoluted motivational tactics. The Bulls had 11 players on their injury report earlier this week and only three players ended up sitting out the game. Carter himself has only missed one game this season despite being listed on the report for every single game. Be very skeptical of the Bulls’ injury reports moving forward.

Wendell Carter Jr. is listed as probable for Friday's matchup against the Hornets despite dealing with injuries to his abdomen, tailbone and head.

The Bulls are very thorough when reporting their injuries as shown with Carter Jr. He has been on the injury report more often than not despite not missing a single game yet this season. Expectations are that Carter Jr. will play but check for updates ahead of tip-off.

Wendell Carter Jr. scrapped together another double-double on Wednesday, ending with 11 points and 10 rebounds on 5-of-8 shooting.

WCJ is consistent. The trouble is, he is consistent as a top-110 player this season. The upside is there, as he is a gifted rebounder and efficient shooter, but just doesn't get the volume of shots needed to see the scoring increase. If this increases, he could creep closer to top-75 value.

Wendell Carter Jr. (abdomen, thumb, tailbone, illness) is listed as available for Wednesday game.

That's a long list of issues, but he'll play through them. Carter is a consistent rebounder and is shooting 56.8 percent from the field.

Daniel Gafford (left finger sprain) is listed as available for Wednesday's game.

Gafford mostly gets bench minutes when Wendell Carter Jr. is resting. He scored 14 points on Monday but is rarely that productive.

The Bulls are listing Wendell Carter Jr. (thumb) and Colby White (hamstring) as probable ahead of Wednesday's game against the Hawks.

Joining White and Carter as probable are Daniel Gafford, Ryan Arcidiacono and Denzel Valentine. Look for everyone to play their usual roles in this one.

Wendell Carter Jr. grabbed 10 rebounds and had one steal against the Heat on Sunday, but was a major disappointment offensively as he scored seven points over 40 minutes.

Carter is simply failing to get any shot attempts, and until he takes on an active role in the offense his fantasy value is going to be ugly. Double-digit rebounding with good percentages is not going to get the job done by itself. He has also been rather quite as a shot blocker of late as well. Carter's owners are not happy right now.

Wendell Carter Jr. wasn't anything to write home about on Friday with four points, 12 rebounds and two steals in 35 minutes of action.

WCJ has basically been a buy-low option all season long with just top-110 value and comfortable top-60 upside. His blocks, assists and free throw percentage have taken a tumble this season, offsetting gains in field goal percentage, rebounds and points. Carter should get it sorted out in time, and hopefully you're in on the action before that happens.

Wendell Carter Jr. swatted a season-high four shots to go along with his 16 points and 13 rebounds in Wednesday's 106-99 win over the Grizzlies.

This is the type of performance owners were banking on when drafting WCJ in the middle rounds of their draft. On the season he is sitting just outside the top-100, but if he can keep the blocks up, that number will start to return closer to his ADP.

Wendell Carter Jr. double-doubled on Monday for 10 points (4-of-8 shooting), 10 rebounds, one assist, two steal an five turnovers.

This was yet another underwhelming showing from WCJ, who has yet to break out of his early-season stupor. Maybe 2020 will usher in an improvement in his production.

Wendell Carter Jr. scored eight points on 4-of-10 shooting with nine rebounds and two steals over 31 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Warriors.

The Bulls are spiraling down and the box score is all you need to look at to know it. Carter and Lauri Markannen (eight points, 3-of-10 FGs, one three, four rebounds, three assists, one steal) have bore the brunt of the Zach LaVine and Jim Boylen led mess. Look for both of them to bounce back if serious changes are considered.

Wendell Carter Jr. (left thumb sprain) is being listed as available to play against the Warriors on Wednesday.

Carter has appeared on every injury report this season with the thumb issue but has yet to miss a game. Continue to deploy the big man as you normally would.

Wendell Carter Jr. was one rebound shy from notching a double-double on Monday with 12 points (5-of-8 shooting), nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.

WCJ has been a steady top-100 play this season but still has the kind of game that can translate to top-75 or top-50 value. The Bulls' less-than-ideal fantasy playoff schedule notwithstanding, WCJ is still a buy-low option.

Wendell Carter Jr. double-doubled in Saturday's last-second win over the Hornets, posting 17 points to go with 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.

WCJ continues to blossom into the producer the Bulls envisioned when they drafted him. His stats tonight are incredibly nice as he produced in every category. His strong post play has pushed teammate Lauri Markkanen to become more of a spot shooter than the double-double machine we saw last year. Coupled with Markkanen's slow start, it looks like WCJ has carved himself a significant role in the frontcourt and will continue to produce across the board.

Wendell Carter Jr. has been dealing with a sprain in his left thumb but is listed as available a day in advance of Friday's matchup vs. the Heat.

It is encouraging to see WCJ available a day in advance of game-time as he has been listed as probable ahead of the last few contests. It appears that the young big man has put his injury woes behind him and is currently on pace to produce top top 125/120 per-game value. Although he has consistently found himself on the injury report, he has yet to miss a game this season.
