The Pistons improved, but not for fantasy owners

From his Instagram, Zaza Pachulia says he's walking away from the NBA after 16 good years.
Zaza has been a low impact fantasy player the past few years, but he has always set the defensive tone for his team when he was in the game. Last year he played about 13 minutes and this open playing time for Thon Maker and Markieff Morris.

Zaza Pachulia saw 16 minutes of action on Wednesday, finishing the season with a low-end outing, highlighted by six points on 2-of-4 shooting with five rebounds and three assists.
Pachulia served as the backup to Andre Drummond this season but given just 12.9 minutes per game, it was tough for the 34-year-old veteran to muster more than top-350 per-game value. He ends 2018-19 with averages of 3.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.5 steals per game.

Pachulia missed Friday's game between these two teams. His return will hurt Thon Maker.

Zaza Pachulia (right Achilles inflammation) has been listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Bulls.
With Zaza out Wednesday, Thon Maker posted 10 points, two rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer on 4-6 shooting over 14 minutes, making him worthy of a brief glance in deep leagues if Zaza can't suit up.

Zaza Pachulia (right Achilles inflammation) is doubtful to play on Wednesday against the Wolves.
Normally Pachulia's presence or absence won't change a thing, but Detroit sure could use him with Karl-Anthony Towns making a trip to Little Caesar's Arena. Thon Maker is the next man up and would be in for a long night at the office if Andre Drummond gets into foul trouble.

Zaza Pachulia was ejected from Sunday's game against the Raptors.
Pachulia might get a call from the league since he brushed past the official and made some contact for his second of two techs. It's been a horrifically officiated game and Pachulia was right to be mad on the play where he was tossed, but it was a dumb move with Andre Drummond and Thon Maker sitting with four and five fouls, respectively, halfway through the third quarter.

Zaza Pachulia (right Achilles soreness) is available for Saturday's game against the Heat.
Pachulia is not a fantasy option and has faded lately with Thon Maker getting playing time. Zaza could see a few extra minutes matched up with Hassan Whiteside, but he's still not a fantasy play right now.

Zaza Pachulia (right Achilles soreness) is probable for Saturday's game against the Heat.
Pachulia missed time with an Achilles issue earlier in the year but has been good for his usual low-minute role of late. He's taken a backseat to Thon Maker in the last few matchups but might see more run than usual if Hassan Whiteside gets going tonight. There's no reason for fantasy owners to roll the dice on Pachulia.

Andre Drummond (concussion protocol) is listed as probable for Fridays game vs. the Mavs.
Drummond missed Wednesday’s game but has cleared the league’s concussion protocol so it looks like he’ll be ready to go on Friday. His return would send Zaza Pachulia back to irrelevancy.

Zaza Pachulia started for an injured Andre Drummond (concussion) on Wednesday night and tallied eight points, 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 31 minutes as the Pistons edged out the Pelicans 98-94.
It was a much better outing compared to his four-point, three-rebound night on Monday. He's worth streaming in the short-term, while Drummond is sidelined but be ready to cut bait once the big guy gets back. The Pistons also got some help off the bench tonight with Jon Leuer chipping in 11 points (5-of-6 shooting) with six rebounds and one block in 15 minutes.

Zaza Pachulia started for Andre Drummond (concussion) on Monday and cooked up four rebounds, three rebounds, a steal and a block in 24 minutes.
Pachulia wasn't exactly dealt a tough matchup in the Wizards and just didn't gain any traction. He's a deep-league big for as long as Drummond is out and should at least be a better source of rebounds than this going forward.

Zaza Pachulia had a strong game on Saturday with seven points, 12 rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in 35 minutes.
Andre Drummond is currently dealing with a concussion so Pachulia may stay relevant for another game or two. He is nothing more than a plug-and-play or a DFS punt-play for now.
